The basic search box is provided at the center on the Calhoun Home page. Hit return or the magnifying glass icon to execute the search.
Entering terms into this search box will perform a full-text search by default. Leaving the search box blank will return a results list that includes all items in the repository. For more specific searches, you can use specialized syntax.
Once you have executed your search, you will be taken to a page where additional filtering and search options are available.
Once you have executed your search, you can refine your search in two ways.
Click on "All of Calhoun"
Choose a specific community or collection to search within.
Your results will be limited based on the location and type of item within each collection.
Click on the filter to expand it.
Checking the boxes will automatically refresh search results.
Reset to the original search by clicking .
Once you have done a search, you can export the results of that search or add all results to mylist to be accessed or exported later.
Make sure you're signed into Calhoun. To sign in click on Log In >> Log in with Shibboleth
Perform the search and apply any relevant filters. When you're ready, select the export dropdown menu.
Select how you would like to export the results.
Note: You can only export the first 500 results of your search.
You should get a notification indicating success. You may need to allow popups from Calhoun to access your download.
The resulting document will contain all of the metadata from the records in your search. Delete or hide any columns not relevant to your needs.
