This journal publishes original papers, review articles and short communications related to all fields of aerospace research, fundamental and applied, potential applications of which are clearly related to: The design and the manufacture of aircraft, helicopters, missiles, launchers and satellites; the control of their environment; the study of various systems they are involved in, as supports or as targets.

This journal is devoted to the advancement of the science and technology of astronautics and aeronautics through the dissemination of original archival research papers disclosing new theoretical developments and/or experimental result. The topics include aeroacoustics, aerodynamics, combustion, fundamentals of propulsion, fluid mechanics and reacting flows, fundamental aspects of the aerospace environment, hydrodynamics, lasers and associated phenomena, plasmas, research instrumentation and facilities, structural mechanics and materials, optimization, and thermomechanics and thermochemistry.

The Journal reports the scientific and technological achievements and frontiers in aeronautic engineering and astronautic engineering, in both theory and practice, such as theoretical research articles, experiment ones, research notes, comprehensive reviews, technological briefs and other reports on the latest developments and everything related to the fields of aeronautics and astronautics, as well as those ground equipment concerned.

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems focuses on the organization, design, development, integration, and operation of complex systems for space, air, ocean, or ground environment. These systems include, but are not limited to, navigation, avionics, spacecraft, aerospace power, radar, sonar, telemetry, defense, transportation, automated testing, and command and control.

The IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology is dedicated to the publication of peer-reviewed original contributions of research regarding the theory and practice of electrical and electronics technology in vehicles and vehicular systems.

Serves the international aerospace engineering community through the dissemination of scientific knowledge on practical engineering and design methodologies pertaining to aircraft and space vehicles.

Topics include aerospace systems and software engineering, verification and validation of embedded systems, uncertainty quantification, the field known as ‘big data,’ data analytics, machine learning, knowledge management for aerospace systems, human-automation interaction, and systems health management for aerospace systems.
