Learn how to effectively use library resources, services, tools

Get started with your library research

We provide access to millions of high quality, authoritative, scholarly and technical articles, books, ebooks, theses, and more (classified and unclassified) in both print and electronic formats. You can borrow physical items, but you can also access our electronic materials anytime, anywhere with your NPS credentials.

Find library research materials using our Library Search, our 300+ article and research databases, and our subject-focused research guides. Our unique collections include the NPS Archive: Calhoun, where you can view previous NPS students' theses and all NPS-authored scholarly work, our Restricted Collection, the Homeland Security Digital Library, and our Special Collections & Archives.

Get research assistance via Ask a Librarian; refresh your research and writing skills by attending our research and writing workshops; take advantage of our request article or book service and our course reserves; and use our computers, printers, and study spaces.

We are here to support you!
